St Peter's Day Court & Dinner - Monday 30th June 2014

The St Peter’s Day Quarter Court Meeting will take place at Glaziers’ Hall at 5.00pm, followed by the Reception at 7.00pm and Dinner at 7.30 pm.  Carriages 10.30 pm


Our guest speaker will be The Rt Revd Lords Bishop of Norwich, Graham James. Bishop Graham has been an active member of the House of Lords since 2004. The Glaziers will be visiting Norwich Cathedral, October 9th - 12th.


The Rt Revd hails from Cornwall where many members of his family worked in the tin mining industry. He is currently Chair of the Ministry Division which is responsible for the selection and training of all candidates for ordination.  

Bishop Graham has also been a Board Member of the Countryside Agency and in 2011 he was invited to join the Lords Select Committee on Communications taking up the responsibility as the Church of England’s lead spokesman on media issues.  He is patron or president of over thirty organisations and a regular guest on BBC Radio 4’s Thought for the Day

Following the receiving line, 7.00 pm to 7.15 pm, there will be a welcome drink, followed by a three course dinner in the splendid ‘River Room’. The dinner will be accompanied by carefully chosen wines from the Company's cellar.  Stirrup cup will be offered in the London Bridge Room.


We anticipate a large response to what will be undoubtedly be an interesting and thought provoking Glaziers' Court Dinner. To ensure your place, please reply as soon as possible.  Members are encouraged to bring a guest who might be interested in joining the Company.


The ticket price for this dinner will be £95 per person. THE DRESS IS BLACK TIE. Confirmation of attendance at the dinner will be sent by email.  Pour Memoires will be sent direct to guests where an address is provided.
