The Worshipful Company of Glaziers and Painters of Glass is one of the UK’s foremost Livery Companies. We are dedicated to the preservation of stained glass and the skills necessary to produce this beautiful art form. The history of our Company dates back to 1328 and we were granted a Royal Charter by Charles l in 1638.
Our members range from highly skilled crafts people to those who simply enjoy an involvement in our worthy and important cause in protecting a vital part of Britain’s heritage. We offer both individual and corporate membership packages. The advantages of being a member include opportunities to participate in events such as lectures and cultural events related to stained glass, attendance at dinners and lunches run by the Company and weekend visits to some of the most important stained glass sites.
Please note that, although the Stevens competition will continue to run in 2014, organised as usual by the Worshipful Company of Glaziers, it is no longer part of the Worldskills UK framework.
A result of this is that no pre-registration will be required on the World Skills website. All entries to the 2014 Stevens Competition must be at Glaziers Hall by 5.00 p.m. on Thursday 27th March accompanied by a completed Entry Form, ready for the judging on Monday 31st March. The entries will all be unpacked and collated on Friday 28th March. Should you have any queries please contact Neil Maurer (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Phillida Shaw (email@example.com)
We look forward to receiving all your entries in due course.
