Our history dates back to 1328 and our Royal Charter was originally granted by Charles l in 1638. Being dedicated to the preservation of stained glass and the skills necessary to produce this beautiful art form, our members range from highly skilled crafts people to those who simply enjoy an involvement in our worthy and important cause. We offer both individual and corporate membership packages with great benefits including opportunities to participate in events such as lectures and cultural events.

Emma Blount

Emma Blount’s artistic passion is in the design and making of ecclesiastical and domestic stained glass windows. www.blountglassartist.biz
A spiritual vibrancy can be seen in Blount’s designs. She uses to glorious effect a combination of strong line, sublime colour, figurative glass painting, modern craft techniques and the lustrous beauty of sheet glass.
1st prize in the Stained Glass Association of America Conference Competition, 2008.
2nd prize and the George & Evelyn Gee Prize for Craftsmanship in the Worshipful Company of Glaziers’ Stevens Competition in 2009.
Award for Excellence in 2007, Worshipful Company of Glaziers & Painters of Glass.
Training work placements in Pugin Hardman and Powell in Birmingham UK 2007, Holy Well Glass in Wells, Chapel Studios in Watford, Canterbury Cathedral Studios, Derix Studios in Germany, Peters Studios in Germany, Emmanuel Studio in Nashville Tennessee 2007 and Loman Studio in Tulsa Oklahoma 2008.
Blount graduated with a degree in Art for the Community from Roehampton University in 1999. Since when she has been designing and making stained glass from her studio in Streatham, London.
